Кто-нибудь слушал аудиоинтервью Долорес для французских радиостанций?

Она там так шпарит на френче, что нифига не понятно. :( Что-то очень много рассказывала про песню Switch Off The Moment. Типа, песня для нее много значит?

Из того, что было сказано на инглише, понял, что альбом будет однозначно позитивнее AYL, его главная тема - это надежда. Название она специально выбрала такое, которое заставляет людей задуматься. Под "багажом" подразумеваются прожитые годы. Обложку для альбома и весь арт для альбома фоткали недалеко от дома Долорес (в крутом же месте она живет!), причем фоткал ее Дон и некий ее друг, так что теперь вы знаете, кого винить за заднюю фотку, на которой у Долорес из штанов вылазит бок. Долорес хорошо сработалась со своим новым продюсером Дэном Бродбеком, ей с ним комфортно и в творческом плане они друг друга дополняют (скорее всего, теперь она только с ним и будет работать).

Dolores O'Riordan Sheds 'Baggage' For Zoë/Rounder Debut

Cranberries frontwoman Dolores O'Riordan will release her second solo album in August.

Best known for her work with Irish rock act the Cranberries, vocalist Dolores O'Riordan has inked with Rounder Records' rock imprint Zoë for her second solo record. Entitled "No Baggage," the 11 song set is due August 25 with O'Riordan co-producing along side Dan Brodbeck, who she worked with on "Are You Listening?," her 2007 solo debut. For "No Baggage," O'Riordan was in the studio from January 2008 through May 2008, a process that she describes as "very spontaneous" and "probably the quickest" she's worked.

The Cranberries have been on an indefinite hiatus since 2003, and O'Riordan has used the time to slowly develop new music, a pace that's much more her to her liking. "I decided to give up music for awhile -- not be in a band, not be on a label, and not be in a box," O'Riordan tells Billboard.com. "You get all this adoration, but you don't know how to take it when you're young. This is something I'm doing for myself. It challenges me. And it's made me more in touch with myself, the reason that I'm here. I don't have any of that pressure. It's totally a hobby for me; for a long time, [music] became a job."

"No Baggage" is described by O'Riordan as a very personal album, one that she says was driven by the desire to "make peace" with herself. "I wanted to address everything and not hide anything. I think for a long time, I closed up and became introverted. As human beings, we're always looking forward and always looking back. It's hard to live in the present."

Alongside 10,000 Maniacs and Mazzy Star, O'Riordan and the Cranberries rose to prominence seemingly overnight during the explosion of alternative rock in the Nineties. The Cranberries had wildly successful singles, including "Linger," "Dreams," and "Zombie." On "No Baggage," the driving rock of "Be Careful" and lead single "The Journey" seem to reference her quick ascent to the top of the female rock-act chain and subsequent years.

"I got to say, it was the darkest and weakest part of my life, emotionally," she says. "I got so big so quickly, I lost sense of reality. I lost my friends and I didn't really have a normal life. All my friends went to college when I was 18 and I went and got famous overnight. So, I was a bit of a train wreck, to say the least."

O'Riordan is currently on a European promo tour and will head to the United States in July for a series of dates. "The Journey" will be released on iTunes on June 2.

Что любопытно, уже второй или третий раз нам тонко и ненавязчиво намекают на потенциальную хитовость и крышесносность Be Careful. :) Уж как бы она не стала вторым синглом? ;)

Также забавно, что Долорес действительно очень быстро по ее меркам записала альбом - всего за 4-5 месяцев. Это ж как ее тогда проперло, что она в один момент свернула работу над клюквенным EP и засела в студию. :) Интересно будет послушать результат такой творческой спонтанности.

Компания Zoё входит в состав Rounder Records, одного из лейблов Долорес. Так что всё правильно;)

Хочу спросить у опытных людей - через сколько дней альбом появляется в наших магазинах?

сейчас с этим вроде все нормализовалось и у нас релизы появляются в магазинах через неделю, полторы после международного релиза.
а почему ты не хочешь заказать с нами? это будет дешевле, чем в магазине.

В общем, сделал я предварительный заказ по приведённой Олегом ссылке. Так, на всякий случай:) На страничке заказов он не отображается (это обычная практика в америкосовских магазинах), но деньги с карты ушли... Посмотрим короче:)

Но никому не буду советовать делать то же самое! У меня был опыт заказа в "прилейбловом" (Ирландском) интернет-магазине. Диски ждал ровно полгода:)
Правда я вообще там всё по-русски написал:) Так и представляю себе как рыжий дядька, попивая гиннес и кляня сквозь зубы всё на свете, выводил эту кириллицу:) Но вывел старательно:)

Превращение сайта Дол в подобие социальной сети это один из очень эффективных инструментов исследования рынка сбыта. Сейчас только глупый пренебрежёт такой возможностью;) А нынешняя команда Дол далеко не глупцы;)
Понятно, что все мы циники и прагматики, но давайте будем отделять мух от помидоров!;) Творчество это творчество, бизнес это бизнес!

Да, Саша прав. Как бы это это цинично ни звучало, но создание коммьюнити - это действительно очень тонкий ход по прощупыванию потенциальной аудитории. :) Фактически, если обратить внимание, то нынешняя команда Долорес вначале все обкатывает на фанатах, а уже потом пускает в массы. :)
